Chop Wood, Carry FL! 🍊 8/1
Hey, all.
Care about racial justice? Care about Florida? (I know you do.)
I’ve got another great webinar to invite you to!
This Thursday, August 4th, the Center For Common Ground will continue discussing the Florida midterms with a focus on how we can make voting as easy and accessible as possible for Black voters across the state.
They will be joined by guest speakers who are working to make voting more accessible through vote by mail and rides to the polls:
State Senator Shevrin Jones, founder of Operation BlackOut, which is focused on increasing voter turnout among Black and brown voters through vote-by-mail.
Eric Tangarife, lead Organizer from RideShare2Vote Aware, an organization that makes voting more accessible by offering voters free rides to the polls.
Come learn about how Operation BlackOut is working to ensure voting by mail remains accessible to Black voters despite new legislative challenges and how RideShare2Vote is mobilizing communities to make sure anyone who wants to vote in person is able to do so.
You’ll also hear about ways YOU can help!
Thanks, all, and more soon!
